A Rosary will be recited Tuesday at the Chapel of Crestview at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday where a Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Bemadette's Catholic Church with Father Perrault as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the N.M. Arthritis Foundation, 124 Alvarado Dr. S.E. Arrangements by the Crestview Funeral Home, 7601 Wyoming N.E. LEYBA Flaviano (Flavio) Leyba, 53, of Pena Blanca, passed away Sunday at his home following an illness.

He is survived by his wife, Angie Leyba of the family home two daughters, Sandra and her husband Ivan Montoya of Albuquerque and Brenda Leyba; two sons, Floyd and Arthur Leyba; his sister, Mary Leyba; two grandsons and one granddaughter; one niece, Josephine Leyba; and one nephew, Isaac Leyba. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7 :00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pena Blanca and on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Morada. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Pena Blanca at 10:00 a.m.

with the Rev. Fr. Myran as celebrant. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Mr.

Leyba was a veteran of the Berlin Airlift, a volunteer fireman in Pena Blanca for 12 years, and an active member of the American Legion. Pallbearers for Mr. Leyba will be Victor Montoya, Eloy Salas, Larry Leyba, Leo Trujillo, David Lopez and Benny Romero. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Garcia and Rudy Dominguez. Lord Trafford BRIGHTON, England Lord Trafford, minister of state for health, died Saturday of lung cancer, the government announced.

He was 57. The Department of Health said Trafford had been ill for a short time and was admitted to a hospital last Tuesday. A physician and former member of Parliament, Trafford helped treat victims of the Irish Republican Army terrorist bombing of a hotel in Brighton during a Conservative Party conference in 1984. Born July 20, 1932, Joseph Anthony Porteous Trafford graduated from the University of London and Guy's Hospital medical school. He was a Fulbright Scholar in the United States in 1963 and worked for a time in the Maryland welfare department.

He was elected to Parliament in 1970 but lost in the 1974 election. Trafford was knighted in 1985 and made a life peer in 1987. He was appointed to the health ministry in July. Trafford is survived by his wife, Hele, and a son and a daughter. New Sept.

Walker was the business administrator of Central United Methodist Church for 30 years prior to his retirement. He is survived by his wife Bertha M. Walker of the family home; one son Allen D. Walker and wife Beth of El Paso, Texas; three grandchildren Christine, David and Sean Walker of El Paso, Texas; one sister Imo Walker of Macon, MO and granddaughters Tracey Loyd and Patricia Pruitt. after a long illness. She was born November 30, 1904, in Morristown, N.J. She came to Albuquerque in 1947. She was formerly a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Ladies League, formerly a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and Ladies League, Charter Member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd for 38 years, member of Catholic Daughters of America Court Santa Maria 317 for 42 years, a member of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, member of Casa Angelica Auxiliary, Friend of Barrett House Women's and Children's Shelter, Friend of Presentation House, formerly a member of American Legion Post 13, employed with the Van Atta Laboratories for 28 years until her retirement.

She is survived by her brother, Brother Innocent Doonan, C.F.A an Alexian Brother, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her sister-in-law, Mrs. Thomas Doonan of Whippany, N.J.; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorials to your favorite charity. Doyle Mortuary, Morristown, N.J. in charge.

He is survived by his wife, Irma Carpenter of Albuquerque; daughter, Lisa S. Salinas and husband, Arnold of Dallas, TX; son, John R. Carpenter and wife, Kathy of Newport, RI; daughter, Pilar Maria Henley and husband, Robert of Washington, D.C.; son, Donald E.

Carpenter of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jessica Henley, Dominic Salinas, Elizabeth Carpenter; brother. Col. Donald Carpenter and wife, Joy of Colorado Springs, CO. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He retired as a colonel from the U.S.

A.F. after 30 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He had been very active in laser technology in Albuquerque. Rosary was recited Monday at 7 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE.

Ditrick CW-4 U.S. Army retired, age 71 and a resident of Albuquerque for 19 years, died Saturday. Mr. Ditrick is survived by his wife Kyoko S. Ditrick; one son Dwight D.

Ditrick; one daughter Nancy E. and husband Tony Liu; and two granddaughters Helen and Marie Liu all of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his brother Calvin R. Ditrick of MD; two sisters-in-law Alice Ditrick of KY, and MaryBelle Ditrick of OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr.

Ditrick was a member of V.F.W. Post Retired Officers Association, Japanese American Citizens League. Mr. Ditrick retired from the U.S. Army after more than 30 years of service.

He was the first curator of the Atomic Museum on Sandia Base. Services for Mr. Ditrick will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Kirtland Air Force Base East Chapel. The body will lie in state Wednesday at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Direc-tors, 3113 Carlisle NE.

He is the beloved husband of Olivia Adams; one son, Jim Nelson; three daughters, Diane Sedillo, Roberta Adams, Margo Lujan and husband Randy; one brother, Jack Adams; one sister Margaret; many grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Bowman, 94, passed away peacefully on Sept. 17 at El Centro Villa Nursing Center. She was born in Mullin, Texas, January 26, 1895. She was married to Frank P. Bowman, who preceded her in death in 1967.

She was a teacher in Goldthwaite, Texas and in Wellman, Texas. She was a member of the Women's Army Corps, in World War II, serving from June 19, 1944 to Aug. 8, 1945. After moving to Albuquerque, she joined the Central United Methodist Church and the New Mexico Art League. She is survived by one son, Col.

John H. Bowman and wife, Billie of San Angelo, Texas; two daughters, Clara Graves of Waco, Texas and Virginia Moore and husband, Jason, of Albuquerque; two sisters, Christina King of Albuquerque, Erva Nelson and husband, Claude of Portales, NM; one brother, Paul Taylor and wife, Louise of Warner Robins, Georgia; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the graveside in Santa Fe National Cemetery with Dr. Harry Vanderpool officiating.

LOS ANGELES Jay Stewart, announcer of the television game show "Let's Make a Deal," died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Hollywood, police said. He was 71. Officers were called to the home about 4 p.m.

Sunday after neighbors and relatives reported hearing a gunshot, detective Russell Kuster said. Stewart, whose real name was Jay Fix, was reported dead on the scene and officers classified the incident a suicide, Kuster said. "There was a last will and testament on his person, and some sort of a suicide note, but I can't really give that to you," Kuster said. He said Stewart shot himself just outside the entrance to the detached garage of his home. "Let's Make A Deal," the hit game show that had Monty Hall as its host, premiered on NBC in 1963, and later moved to ABC until 1976.

A popular feature of the show was "Jay's Tray" in which the announcer brought down a studio aisle to Hall a covered item sometimes valuable, sometimes not. Hall bargained with a contestant over its contents. The game show was later seen in syndication and more recently was revived by the USA cable network. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, and two daughters. Berry Fleming AUGUSTA, Ga.

Author Berry Fleming, noted for his 1945 novel on political corruption in a Southern town, was buried Monday in the east Georgia city where he was born. Fleming died Friday at his home in Augusta. He was 90. Fleming produced 20 novels, but his most famous was "Colonel Effingham's Raid," published in 1945. The novel satirized a Southern town's struggles with a corrupt political party during the 1930s and 1940s.

It eventually was made into a movie. Fleming was honored by the Georgia Senate last year in a resolution that called him "one of America's greatest living authors." He also was a painter, and his abstract and watercolor works were exhi-.
