May 31, 1962 ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL Executive Board Members Feted at Coffee New Officers Introduced At City Panhellenic Social ap- Mrs. H. Jack Starkey, Members of the retiring and incoming executive boards of Albuquerque City Panhellenic were entertained at a coffee in the home of Mrs. Fred Langner, 1505 Los Arboles NW, with Mrs. O.

E. Hopkins Jr. and the Alpha Xi Delta sorority alumnae as hostesses. Mrs. 5.

Hopkins, preciation to the officers who served with her and welcomed the new board. Prominently featured in the decorations was the silver bowl Panhellenic presented to Mrs. Hopkins for her year of service. The new officers are: Mrs. Dale B.

Walker, president, a member of Chi Omega. She has served a chairman of the scholarship committee and on the senior tea for Panhellenic. She also is a member of the Assistance League of Albuquerque. Mrs. Norman Ribble, first vice president and a member of Delta Delta Delta, a served as the Tri Delta finance advisor.

She was active in Panhellenic on the scholarship committee and senior tea. Mrs. David Trapp, second vice president, is a member of Kappa Delta and Asternots Garden Club. She a served on the senior tea and spring style show committees for Panhellenic. treasurer and an Alpha Gamma Delta alumna, teacher at Kirtland Elementary School.

She served as decorations chairman for the spring style show. Mrs. Charles Link, corres-1 ponding secretary and go member ore Omicron Pi, is active in Scouting and is teaching at Sombra del Monte Elementary School. She is keeper of the master file for Panhellenic. Mrs.

Hugh W. Church, Kappa Kappa Gamma, is recording secretary. She is board member of the Albuquerque Assn. for Mental Health. Mrs.

Church was publicity chairman for Panhellenic. Retiring officers are Mmes. Pete Domenici, Joseph Danclovic and Donald J. Jinkins. Albuquerque City Panhellenic will begin its new Aug.

15, staging a backto-school style show for girls planning to enter college in September. and Mrs. Bernardo Griego attended the couple as matron of honor and best man. Bridesmaids were Misses Prudy Maestas, Eloise Rivera and Susie Valverde. Serving as ushers were Albert Maestas, Gavino Rivera and Brigido Valverde. Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's! parents, with a dance that night at Archie's Lounge.

Group Planning Evening Class Noreste Art Group is meeting Friday, 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of Albuquerque Central and Washington' NE, with Mrs. William Dunn and Mrs. Porfirio Rios as hostesses. Guest speaker will be discuss Joe Miller, who is to "Sizing Plans are under way to form a new Noreste evening class, under the instruction of Joel Ramirez.

Reeves, board of trustee members. Guests were greeted by Mrs. Charles Fish, treasurer, and Mrs. August B. Seis secretary.

Invited guests included members of the past year's board of directors and committees, their husbands and members of the board of trustees and husbands wives. In the receiving line were Mrs. Hampton, Miss Neighbours and Mrs. Lloyd R. Burley, YWCA president.

Also attending was Miss Neighbours' mother, Mrs. Ethel J. Neighbours of Memphis, Tenn. Miss Neighbours also was honored at a luncheon followling the monthly board of directors meeting, arranged by the board and held in the Petroleum Club. American beauty roses and the sorority colors of black, red and silver were used in the initiation ceremony for five new, members: Miss Rosie Velasquez of Blanco; Misses Brenda Chelf, Arlene Chavez and Eulalia Greenwood of Albuquerque, and Mrs.

Karin Fava, formerly of Trier, Germany, and now of Albuquerque. Miss Youtz and Mrs. Mary Pyle Ware are co-sponsors of the group, with Mrs. Eva S. Archunde, Mrs.

Helen Laben and Miss Dolores Sanchez, co-sponsors. the social hour following chapter No. 5, Order of Starlighter general chairman, June hostess chairman and Mrs. Carrie Vick co-chairman. Pink roses will be used as the centerpiece on the serving table, accenting the choir's official color.

The choir night hostesses are to wear pink formals. Mrs. W. G. Pendergraft and Mrs.

James O. Hannon, choir director, will preside at the silver coffee and tea services. Mrs. Charles DeWitt, worthy matron, and George Corbell, worthy patron, will be joined by Mrs. William Laswell, grand marshal of the Grand Jurisdiction of New Mexico, OES, in the receiving line.
