Pro Footballer Vote to Strike NEW YORK iJPi-Professional football players have voted to strike if they don't get "a satisfactory contract package" from owners of the National Football League teams, spokesman for the NFL Players Assn.

said Friday night. "There's nothing new or novel in that," commented Tex Schramm of the Dallas Cowboys, chairman of the four-man owners' negotiating committee. "We had that two years ago. I don't think there's any per-timancy or relevancy at this time a strike vote." The NFLPA isn't using the word strike. The group's spokesman, who asked to be identified as "a reliable source from within the NFLPA," said the players "voted overwhelmingly to authorize withholding of services."
